Hatta feels a world away from the city skyline. Sitting about 130 km south-east of Dubai in the folds of the Hajar Mountains, this Dubai enclave swaps glass towers for rocky peaks, palm groves and a striking turquoise reservoir. Our private Hatta Mountain Tour is priced per car, so your family or group travels together in comfort with a professional chauffeur and the freedom to linger where you like.

The day usually centres on Hatta Dam, where the emerald water set against bare mountain slopes makes one of the most photographed scenes in the UAE. In the cooler months you can hire kayaks or pedal boats on the lake (paid locally, subject to the season). Nearby, Hatta Heritage Village is a carefully restored settlement of stone and mud-brick houses, watchtowers and a small fort, with displays of traditional tools and weapons, and the neighbouring palm farm shows the old falaj irrigation channels that kept mountain communities alive.

Plenty of room for your own pace

Depending on the season and your interests, the route can include Hatta Hill Park for panoramic views from its hilltop tower, or Hatta Wadi Hub, an outdoor adventure centre with activities such as archery, zorbing and mountain biking (seasonal, usually October to April, with separate charges). Families often find the mix of open air, water and history an easy, relaxed day out.

Hatta is at its best from autumn to spring, when hiking, biking and lake activities are in full swing. Your final route and timings are confirmed with you on WhatsApp before the trip.
