Al Montazah Parks has been a fixture of family life in Sharjah for decades. First opened in 1979 and later redeveloped under the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the complex sits on the lagoon side of the city and is organised into two themed zones: Island of Legends, an amusement park, and Pearls Kingdom, a water park inspired by the UAE’s pearl-diving heritage.
Island of Legends brings together family rides, thrill rides and attractions for younger children, with a playful fantasy theme and evening opening hours that make it popular after the heat of the day. Pearls Kingdom, renovated and relaunched in 2021, added tube slides with lighting effects and temperature-controlled pools, along with splash areas for small children and quieter pools for relaxing.
