Standing at the world’s tallest building is one of those Dubai moments every visitor wants, and At the Top is how most people experience it. The ticket covers the observation decks on levels 124 and 125, around 450 metres above Downtown Dubai, with views stretching across the city to the desert on one side and the Arabian Gulf on the other.
Your visit begins on the Lower Ground level of The Dubai Mall, where an exhibition about the tower’s design and construction leads to one of its high-speed double-deck lifts. On level 124 you step out onto the main deck, with floor-to-ceiling glass, high-powered telescopes and an outdoor terrace open to the air. Level 125 is a larger, more spacious deck finished with Arabic mashrabiya-style detailing, offering 360-degree views and photo opportunities such as green-screen souvenir pictures and a glass floor effect. Free WiFi is available.
Entry is by timed ticket, and there is no strict time limit once you are inside, though most guests spend about an hour to an hour and a half. Sunset slots are the most sought after and often cost more; the operator suggests arriving around 90 minutes before sunset to see day turn to night. Early-morning and daytime visits are usually quieter.
Children under three currently enter free and the experience is wheelchair accessible. Smart casual dress is recommended.
