Dreamland Aqua Park in Umm Al Quwain has been entertaining UAE families since 1997, when it opened as one of the largest water parks in the region. Set away from the crowds of the big cities, it offers a more laid-back atmosphere with wide lawns, palm trees and plenty of space to spread out for the day.
Thrill-seekers can take on signature slides such as Kamikaze, a steep high-speed drop, the enclosed Black Hole, Twister and Twisting Dragons, while younger guests and less adventurous swimmers have gentler pools and play areas. Between rides, there are sun beds to relax on, and life vests are available for extra confidence in the water. The park also has an amphitheatre, dry sports areas and a mini zoo, giving the day more variety than slides alone.
The park is currently open every day from 10am to 6pm, with water rides closing 30 minutes before the park. Proper swimwear is required on water rides and attractions, and outside food and drinks are not permitted, so plan to use the on-site dining. Facilities include changing rooms, lockers, showers, prayer rooms and a first-aid clinic. Height and age are checked at admission because ticket categories are height-based.
Umm Al Quwain is roughly an hour’s drive from Dubai, so transport can be arranged on request to make a relaxed family day of it.
