A dune buggy offers more power, stability and protection than a quad bike, which is why it has become one of the most popular ways to drive in the desert yourself. You sit side by side in a two-seat buggy with a roll cage and harnesses, take the wheel, and follow a lead guide across the sand for a full hour.
Sixty minutes gives you time to settle in, build confidence and enjoy longer stretches across the dunes. The guide chooses a route to suit the group’s experience, with stops for photographs and a breather. Expect bigger climbs and descents than on a short quad ride, and plenty of sand spray along the way.
Who it suits
The buggy is priced per vehicle and seats two, so it is ideal for couples, friends or a parent with an older child as passenger. The driver must meet the operator’s age and licence requirements; passengers have their own minimum age. Helmets are provided and must be worn throughout.
Pickup from Dubai can be arranged, and the experience can be scheduled in the morning, afternoon or around sunset. We confirm the slot, driver requirements and any transfer on WhatsApp before you pay.
