The UAE’s east coast faces the Gulf of Oman rather than the Arabian Gulf, and the change of scenery is immediate: jagged mountains drop almost straight to the sea, fishing villages line quiet bays and the water is noticeably clearer. This full-day trip crosses the Hajar range to show you the best of Fujairah and its neighbouring coast in one comfortable outing.
A highlight for many guests is Snoopy Island, a small rocky outcrop just off Al Aqah beach whose outline is said to resemble the famous cartoon beagle asleep on his kennel. The shallow, sheltered water around it is well known for snorkelling, with reef fish and, on lucky days, turtles. Time at the beach lets you swim, relax or hire snorkelling gear locally.
Further along the coast stands Al Bidya Mosque, a small whitewashed structure with distinctive domed roofs that is widely regarded as the oldest known mosque in the UAE, dating back several centuries. In Fujairah city, the route usually includes the grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque, one of the largest in the country, and views of Fujairah Fort, a restored hilltop fortification overlooking the old town and palm groves. The drive itself passes through mountain valleys, with a typical stop at the roadside market near Masafi known for pottery, carpets and fresh produce.
It is a varied day that blends beach time, landscapes and heritage. The exact order of stops and timings are confirmed with you on WhatsApp before departure.
