KidZania Dubai

KidZania Dubai is an indoor edutainment city on Level 2 of The Dubai Mall where children run the show. Built to a child’s scale, with its own streets, shops and public buildings, it lets kids try out grown-up roles and learn through play rather than simply watching.

Children choose from a range of jobs and activities, such as working as a firefighter, pilot, doctor, chef or journalist, often in branded establishments that mirror real businesses. Each role pays a wage in KidZos, the city’s own currency, which children can save in the KidZania bank or spend on other activities. A child ticket currently includes 50 KidZos to get them started.

Who it suits

Activities are designed for children aged 4 to 16. Toddlers and adults can enter the city, but only children in that age range can take part in the role-play establishments. Children aged 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, so it works best as a family outing where parents relax nearby while kids take the lead.

Because it is inside The Dubai Mall, a visit is easy to combine with the Dubai Aquarium, the fountains or At the Top, Burj Khalifa. Most families spend three to five hours, as children tend to want to try just one more job.
