teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi is a museum where the art is never quite finished. Opened in April 2025 in the Saadiyat Cultural District, this 17,000-square-metre space by the Japanese art collective teamLab is filled with installations that respond to light, water, sound, air and the people moving through them. The result is an environment that changes from moment to moment, so no two visits feel alike.
There is no fixed route. Guests wander between connected spaces, from rooms where clusters of light seem to crystallise and dissolve around you, to fields of floating lamps that brighten as you approach and works that shift between order and chaos. Some installations involve water, so it is worth bringing a change of clothes; lockers and changing rooms are provided free of charge.
Children love Graffiti Nature, where the animals they draw on paper come to life on the walls and floor. Adults tend to linger in the quieter, more meditative rooms, letting the light and sound wash over them. After exploring, Anko, the in-house Japanese patisserie, serves wagashi and seasonal desserts.
Entry is by timed slot and capacity is limited, especially at weekends and holidays, so booking ahead is strongly recommended. Note that, from Monday to Thursday evenings, the museum is currently reserved for adults. Tell us your preferred date and time and we will confirm availability and the final price on WhatsApp before any payment.
